Throughout history, things we dont understand are always attributed to god. First, the stars and the sun- which was a big god in the sky. Then the weather was controlled by god. They thought if you could sacrifice enough people on the temple you could get rain. Then people thought we were the center of the universe because everything seemed to revolve around us in the sky. god put us in the center because we are so special. For a while people thought gravity was a gift from god so we could walk around. There are more and more examples of things like this. And as Neil pointed out about some people trying to quiet scientists when they started coming out with theories on the big bang- dont get me started on what the church has done to quiet every discovery disproving the supernatural in the exapmples above.
There is no debate. In order to have a debate, there must be two contradictory positions which can each be reasonably argued. That is not the case here. The Dallas Cowboys are America's Team. Period. End of discussion.
Dan, Im not sure what side you are coming to this from, but there are many reasons to need the arguments of the proof that what we believe is true.1. What if I am wrong? I want to know the truth.2. What if others are wrong? If the 9-11 Hijackers and many of the Crusaders had stopped to asked for some valid proof before they did what they did wed all be better off. Note the first Crusades were fought in Spain, to repel the Muslims who had massacred about 300,000 Christians in North Africa and were heading north into Europe. So not all of them were fanatics led to the slaughter. But many were.3. How do I tell others what the truth is unless I know it?Im sure others can add a few to this list. But in the end, Blind Faith is dangerous, useless and irrational. We dont need any superstitious Christians.
I also think there is individual variability in how much skill level tends to fluctuate over time. Some players are relatively steady and others are relatively streaky. I consider myself a very streaky jump shooter. There is nothing mystical about it, it's just variation in mechanics. When I'm hot, my mental command "take jump shot" executes all the right mechanics. When I'm not hot, the same mental command "take jump shot" executes mechanics that are flawed. At that point, one needs to pay attention to mechanics to figure out what is going wrong.
micheal owen defo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya I do see the cubs in the world series in 2007, if all the other teams are disqualified for wearing their jerseys inside out
