近年日本のアート業界では海外国内のアーバンアートの展示会が頻繁に行われるようになりました。またそれは国内の美術館などでも紹介され、いわゆるサブカルチャーと言われていたモノが少しずつ表面に露出される機会が多くなってきました。その波紋は大手企業のビジュアルデザイン、ロゴデザイン、パブリックな現場までそのデザインは様々なフォルムのメディアとなり浸透しつつ有ります。海外の主なスポーツメーカーはアーティスト達に多大なギャランティーを発生させ大きな街ぐるみのプロダクトを成功させたり、様々なアーティストが街の至る所にすばらしい壁画を次々に完成させています。はたしてこの日本の現状はどうでしょうか？アーバンアートという日本人にまだあまり馴染みの無いこのカルチャーは世界中のアート業界のキュレーターや関係者の注目の的でもあり、海外の街の至る所に存在する壁画達は国内海外の若者達の最もフレッシュなビジュアルで、しかも彼らにとってエキサイティングな体験でもあるのです。想像してみて下さい。あなたがいつも通る散歩道、公園や無機質だったビルの壁にアートがある生活..私は沢山のアイデアの中の一つの結論にたどり着きました。"自分の眼で観た世界のアーバンアートを取材しよう"..そして細かい調査とプランニングにより約４ヶ月のタイトなスパンで世界30都市以上の壁の取材と各国のアーティストとのセッションを行うプロダクトを私は考えました。世界中のアーティストやショップ、ギャラリーとのコネクション、世界事情、ビザ取得、細かい現地情報。ランニングコストの確保。長い年月をかけやっとコネクションとプランニンングができあがりました。このブログでは私自身がこの眼で観た世界各地の壁と、アーバンアートそして各国のアートと社会との関わりや世界事情をふまえ刺激的な現場をレポートしていきたいと思います。
